Hi, I'm Jaena — a lifelong maker, creative soul, and the artist behind Simply Jaena Made.

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to creating things with my hands. Over the years I've explored needlepoint, crocheting, quilting, bargello, polymer clay, sewing, and ceramics — always chasing that feeling of making something from nothing. For me, creativity isn't just a hobby; it's therapy. It's how I decompress, recharge, and find my center.

Then the pandemic happened. Like so many of us, I found myself at home with more time and a deep need to create. That's when I discovered abstract acrylic pour painting — and I was completely captivated. I painted and painted, and before long I had more art than wall space.

That's when Simply Jaena Made was born.

What draws me so deeply to acrylic pour painting is that it exists at the intersection of art and science. It harnesses fluid dynamics, gravity, and chemistry to create works that simply couldn't be made with a paintbrush — and will never be exactly duplicated. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind event, shaped as much by physics as by intention.

Through the magic of print-on-demand, I've been able to transform my original paintings into beautiful, wearable and functional art — clothing, household items, and gifts that carry a piece of that creative energy into everyday life. It's been such a joy to find a way to share these designs beyond the canvas.

And the sharing doesn't stop there. For the past three years, I've been teaching acrylic pour painting techniques to others — and it has become one of the most rewarding things I do. Watching someone discover this art form for the first time, seeing their face light up when the colors start to flow — it never gets old. My hope is that through painting, others can find the same creative outlet and stress relief that I have.
